The Student version of AutoCAD is identical to the full commercial version, with the exception that DWG files created or edited by the Student version have an internal bitflag set (educational flag). The student version of AutoCAD is cheaper than the full version. When such a DWG file is printed from any version of AutoCAD (commercial or student version), the output includes a plot stamp/banner on all four sides of the print. Items created in the student version cannot be used for commercial use. If imported, these Student Version objects will affect the Commercial Version DWG file. The Autodesk Student Community provides free access to various Autodesk applications to registered students.
