A seasonal location does not necessarily mean seasons of the year. Instead it refers to niches that have a large fluctuation in search volume that is repeatable.
One of my (author Ted’s) mentors in affiliate marketing loved to promote the holidays. He was especially excited about Halloween. Not only was he personally excited about Halloween, but he was also excited about the affiliate profit opportunities. That said, many affiliate marketers don’t pursue seasonal markets because there’s a short profitable period, and the rest of the year (once the holidays pass) you’re not really making any money. So where other affiliate marketers found the short pay period a reason to avoid seasonal markets, he saw an opportunity – less competition.
After Halloween was over, my mentor started marketing Christmas. As an added profitable bonus, if you can predict what the hot Halloween costume or hot Christmas toy will be for the upcoming holidays and tailor your marketing messages to those hot items, you’ll have a lot more money. can benefit.
Seasonal doesn’t just mean holidays. This can mean any place that has a dramatically different but recurring pattern of interest, demand and purchase. For example, if your niche was the ski market and items of interest to skiers, you would see an increase in interest and sales in the fall and winter. You may not be seeing much interest in the summer.
