Irregular shaped stones are used in this type of construction. The stones obtained from the quarry are taken to be used in the same form or are broken by hammer and shaped into suitable size as the work progresses. The strength of rubble masonry mainly depends on:
Quality of mortar.
Intermittent use of long stones for proper bonding.
Adequate filling of mortar between stone voids.
