The handle
The most commonly used type of hinge is the butt hinge, which ranges in length from 1 to 20 cm. Various types of hinges such as counterflap hinges, spring hinges and parliamentary hinges are also being used.
Barrel bolts and tower bolts are the most commonly used types and range in length from 10 to 40 cm. Hook and eye is another type commonly used for windows. Hasp and staple bolts and aldrop bolts are used where padlocks are used.
Mortise locks are used for thick doors and are incorporated into the door frame. Otherwise, pad locks are also used.
