Ebook publishing is certainly a form of content marketing (see previous section), but it has its own unique features that are good for affiliate marketers. Consider the possibilities.
What if you had a 20-page ebook on fashion (because you’re affiliated with a merchant who sells fashion, of course) and you had an affiliate link on every page? And what if that e-book was a Kindle book on Amazon, with the potential to reach thousands or even millions of potential buyers? Some people give away e-books for free in the hopes that the book will spread like wildfire, meaning more people will click on the affiliate links inside those digital covers.
Still others add additional content to make that ebook buyable and have those affiliate links within the ebook (double the profit potential – sweet!) The marketing potential here can be great. Given this, visit the major ebook platforms and see how others are marketing their ebooks and how they include affiliate marketing.
The major eBook platforms/formats are as follows:

Apple Books: Publish e-books through the Apple Network and other platforms. Find details on Smashwords.
Adobe Acrobat: Publish your book as a PDF using Adobe Acrobat software and other services.
NOOK: You can find this format at places like Barnes and Noble.

Joint projects
When you think about it, affiliates and merchants are really one of the most basic forms of joint ventures (JVs) — two or more parties that share in the profits of a joint venture together. are In this case, as an affiliate, you are the lead generation JV partner who is being paid with affiliate commission, while the merchant content provider (product or service) is the JV partner who pays you commission while Retains a portion of the sales proceeds for its own expenses. And a share of their profits.
Meanwhile, it obliges the ambitious affiliate to consider becoming a merchant (see Chapter 17) so that you, in turn, can take the JV opportunity to a more powerful level. I (author Paul) like to JV, and that’s why I started my affiliate marketing program.
Media interviews
There are a lot of radio, TV, audio, and video programs — and we mean a lot — that have a constant need for content, many primarily for the benefit of their audience by interesting and compelling guests. So why not you?
If there’s a program on gardening and you specialize in marketing gardening products (and of course you know something about gardening), you’ll be a natural guest. They have an audience interested in the topic, which means you have a target audience to whom you can introduce yourself and your offering.
The most obvious approach here is to find programs that specialize in your topic, which is easy using your favorite search engine. Use terms like “podcast + [your topic]” or “radio program + [your topic]”. You can also explore sites like iHeartRadio iTunes and Podbean.
When you have an interview, it would be very difficult or awkward to provide an affiliate link during (or at the end of) your interview. Given this, a memorable website domain name related to your topic is essential (see Chapter 7 for more on websites). If you’re being interviewed about the benefits of sleep, for example, then mentioning your website with the same name works, and if that site is full of links to sleep related products. , so you can count dollars in your dreams instead. the crowd
Smartphone apps
Now we realize that the idea of creating a smartphone app may seem out of reach for most people, but not anymore! Yes, a few years ago it was too “techy,” even for a programmer, but today’s app creation tools and services now bring it within the reach of any marketer — even those who There are those with modest budgets and those who can’t even spell. “App.”
The concept of a smartphone app is quite simple. It really is a batch of content such as news and posts usually involving a collection of software programs. The app usually has a specific topic or theme, ranging from hobby to business topics.
A pet care app released by a local pet store, for example, provides the latest news and ideas from the pet care industry as well as pet enthusiasts. There may also be suggestions and posts. In addition, it can have a reminder calendar for the pet owner for events such as vet visits and other pet events.
All of this content in the app is of course your affiliate links. As more and more people are moving their computing and shopping needs to smartphones, affiliate marketing becomes as easy as a few taps on the screen.
