Of course, this question usually comes from a completely fresh potential client who hasn’t run a program yet. Oftentimes we work with new clients who are at least familiar, but for those of you who aren’t, no fear.
The simplest explanation is that affiliate marketing is when you offer your product or service to publishers (aka affiliates) to promote on your behalf. In return, you will be expected to pay a commission directly attributable to that publisher (or affiliate) whenever a sale is made.
Since affiliate marketing is inherently performance-based, you only get paid if results increase.
