Brick or concrete arches are constructed with rolled steel joists, which are supported on the walls of the rooms. Some inert material fills the spandrels between the arches. Above this, a 10 cm thick average lime concrete (LC) roof is provided to make it waterproof. Some waterproofing materials can be used with lime concrete and LC terracing is well beaten with wooden beaters to make it more compact.
