Despite what you may have read on the Internet from various “gurus” selling their latest magic money making course, becoming an affiliate marketer is not a get-rich-quick scheme. This is a slow plan to get solid. We’re not talking about a glacial pace like building a traditional business, which can take years. We’re talking about three to eight months of consistent effort on your part before you start seeing results.
If you keep building your site, growing its authority, collecting emails, and meeting the needs of your visitors, your income will grow. If you build a solid foundation with your website, email list, etc., you are building a business that will continue to generate income year after year. There are affiliate marketers with established sites who say it only takes them two hours a week to maintain their site and make money.
