What endogenous is

In endogenous trees, a plant grows only by the addition of new cells at the tip or tip, i.e. the trees grow inward and have a fibrous mass visible in their longitudinal section. Such trees show very few branches. The wood of these trees has very limited engineering applications. Examples of endogenous trees are bamboo, cane, date palm etc.
