Hydrolical Lime

Hydraulic lime differs in composition from quicklime because it contains a certain amount of clay, which gives it hydraulic properties, that is, the ability to set and harden even under water. Quicklime does not set under water. Hydraulic lime contains between 70 and 80 percent CaO and about 15-30 percent clay.

Hydraulic lime is usually produced from limestone that is rich in clay, or by adding clay content to the limestone during the burning of the limestone. This lime is further divided into hydraulic, moderately hydraulic and significantly hydraulic lime, depending on its hydraulicity. A comparison between these types of hydraulic cylinders
